On September 15, shortly after 10p.m. Exeter(Co25) was dispatched for a vehicle crash at 4851 Perkiomen Ave. Additional information indicated a vehicle struck a building and both were now on fire. The assignment was upgraded to a structure fire. On arrival the units found a vehicle that struck the end of the residence, knocking it off its foundation by several feet with one end of the structure & the vehicle well involved in fire. Several lines were pulled to extinguish the fire as other crews did a quick search and ventilated the structure. Fortunately all occupants were able to escape safely. The vehicle operator was taken to the hospital for treatment. Units were able to begin clearing by 11:30p.m. The incident is under investigation by the Exeter Township police.
