This weekend it is once again time to turn our clocks AHEAD one hour. Daylight savings time begins at 2a.m. Sunday March 12. Although we don’t advocate getting up at that time to do much of anything, when you do wake up on Sunday take 5 minutes TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Early detection of smoke or carbon monoxide could save your life as well as the lives of your loved ones. Changing the batteries when you change your clocks in spring and fall is one simple task you can do to prevent tragedy. Remember, if your detector sounds an alarm, get out and call 911.
