Hopefully everybody is doing well during these strange days we are in. Although the amount of calls we have been responding to has been going down there has been an increase in numbers of the amount of structure fires we have been dispatched to, most likely because more people are home and doing more cooking and other work around the house. We urge you to continue being fire safe at ALL times. The most serious of these was on April 22nd just before 7:30 when Mt. Penn, along with several other companies were dispatched to 217 Constitution Ave. in Exeter to assist them with a structure fire. First arriving units had heavy fire from the garage with some extension to the house. Units made a quick knockdown with the fire being placed under control less than 30 minutes later. Units remained on scene doing overhaul until beginning to clear just before 9a.m.
