Vehicle vs pole in St. Lawrence

Just after noon the Rescue was dispatched along with Exeter (Co25) to St. Lawrence Ave. and Ganster St. for a report of a vehicle that had struck a pole.  Arriving crews found just that with the pole damaged but still standing and all occupants out of the vehicle and in a nearby parking lot.  Additional ambulances were sent from the Reading Fire Dept. to help take care of the 3 patients with one eventually refusing medical care.  Central Berks police were assisted by Fire Police in closing down the road for about an hour while crews controlled fluids and assisted the tow company with vehicle removal and clean up.  Met-Ed was contacted to further assess the condition of the pole.  Units were able to clear by 1p.m.
