Mt. Penn Fire Company

And the contract goes to…

There has been lots of speculation, talk, visits with other departments, heated debates and the like but last night the members of the Mt. Penn Fire Company, on the recommendation of the Truck Committee, chose the new Ladder 1 to be built by Spartan in Ephrata, PA.

This will be a 2023 TDA that will replace our 30 year old 1992 Seagrave TDA, which despite the refurbishment, is starting to show her age. The new truck is projected to be delivered in 2024 and is expected to be in service for the next 30 years.

This new truck is the largest purchase the fire company has ever made in our entire 100+ year history at $1.44 million dollars. Although our current fundraising raffles will assist with this we are also reaching out to our followers and the community to give us an extra boost. A special donation campaign has been started on BetterWorld that you can contribute to. All donations are fully tax deductible as the fire company is an IRS recognized 501-C-3 Charitable Organization. You can click on the link below. If it doesn’t work just copy and paste it into your web browser. Thank you for your continued support!
