On June 21st just before noon Mt. Penn was dispatched, along with several other companies, to assist Exeter(Co25) on a reported structure fire at the Mt. Penn Water Authority facility located at 214 Midland Ave. On arrival Deputy 25-2(Chamberlain) reported a pole and wires down and on fire inside the facility. The transformers on the pole were also on fire and leaking oil. Fortunately no structures were involved but this made for a decent looking fire with quite a bit of thick black smoke but nothing could be done until the power was secured by Met-Ed. Command released all units except for Exeter and Lower Alsace(Co4) just before 1230p.m. Once the power was secure units proceeded with extinguishing the fire. The incident was turned over to Met-Ed for followup.
