Hopefully everybody is doing well. Welcome to Fall! We haven’t been on here too much lately but that doesn’t mean things have stopped for your fire company. We continue to be busy with our raffles which are going well. THANK YOU for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated!
We have continued to be busy with calls also, 33 this month already! We have noticed an increase in fires as well with our crews working at 4 fires in the past 3 weeks. As colder weather approaches we encourage you to have your heater, fireplace and chimney cleaned and serviced. Be sure that your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have fresh batteries and are in working order. Being proactive is your best defense against tragedy striking. If your alarms go off or you suspect a fire DIAL 911 immediately and help will be sent to you.
Slow down on the roads too, especially in bad weather. There are lots of leaves on the roads now and when combined with rain it can become as slippery as ice. A few extra minutes of your trip is worth it to arrive in one piece!
