Laureldale Structure Fire

On June 24th shortly before 10 p.m. Ladder 1 was dispatched to assist Laureldale (Co13) on what began as an automatic fire alarm but was quickly upgraded to a structure fire at Yuasa Batteries. Chief 13 (Feltenberger), responding to the AFA reported smoke & flames from the roof area on his arrival. Lines were immediately stretched & the L1 crew was sent to the roof where the fire was found to involve baghouse #3. The fire was under control in less than 30 minutes although crews remained for over an hour performing overhaul. L1 was able to clear & return just before 11:15p.m.
