Mt. Penn Fire Company

Maidencreek Structure Fire

On March 27 just before 3:30a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company to assist Blandon(Co12) and surrounding companies on a reported structure fire in the 100 block of Sandhurst Blvd. First arriving units found a house with a well involved fire in the roof area. Several lines were pulled and a master stream from Tower 45(Fleetwood) was eventually used to knock down much of the visible fire and allow crews to resume an interior attack. Due to the amount of manpower needed the RIT crew was put to work to assist with extinguishment and overhaul and the next due RIT company dispatched. The fire was placed under control about 5a.m. and units began clearing the scene shortly after 5:30a.m.
