Mt. Penn Fire Company

Memorial Day

This morning Mt. Penn joined with Exeter(Co25), Lower Alsace(Co4) and Oley(Co5) in the annual Exeter Twp. Memorial Day Parade. We all enjoyed great weather and a very nice ceremony at Forest Hills Memorial Park that honored and remembered all of the men and women of this great nation who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that freedom should not perish from this earth.

For many of you it is a day to head to the beach, campground, pool or have a barbeque with family and friends. At some point today take a moment to remember, teach your children about this day and say a prayer for all of those who never came home alive from a thousand different places around the world. It is by their sacrifice that we are able to do this and enjoy the freedoms we have.
