MPFD takes the evening off

Yes, it’s true. Once in a while we all get to take the evening off and sit down together for uninterrupted dinner and drinks. On March 11th we gathered at the Doubletree in Reading for an evening of fun, looking back, handing out some awards and just having a great time with no firefighter responsibilities. Several members received service pins for their years of service as well as current company president and past chief, Barry Vogt receiving a special award for his 60+ years of dedication and service to the company and community.

We were able to have a leisurely evening thanks to our brothers from Limerick Fire Company of Limerick Township and North End Fire Company of Pine Grove who stood by at our station to cover any calls. While there they handled a small trash fire and a RIT incident. Many thanks to both companies for allowing us to enjoy ourselves.
