On November 15 at 9:30a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched along with several other companies for a confirmed working structure fire to the rear of the 300 block of Main St. First arriving units had a well involved multi-bay garage with unknown contents burning. Mt. Penn crews were split with half standing by as the RIT company and the other half assisting with extinguishment. Multiple lines were used as other crews opened up the cluttered structure. At one point ammunition stored inside was going off due to the heat from the fire. The fire was under control by 10:15 with extensive overhaul being needed. Mt. Penn was able to clear just after 11:00a.m. The fire is under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal.
