Rescue assists Oley

On April 18 at midnight R1 was dispatched to assist Company 5 (Oley) and Company 49 (Amity) with a 2 vehicle crash with reported entrapment at Oley Turnpike Rd and Memorial Highway (Route 662) in Oley Township.  Company 5 arrived first and reported multiple patients and one possible fatality.  When R1 arrived the crew was split between assisting Oley and the EMS crews with one vehicle and several patients while the second crew secured and powered down the second vehicle.  Mt. Penn and Amity were released within one hour.  This crash remains under investigation by the PA State Police and witnesses are asked to contact their station at 610-378-4011 with information.
