Ruscombmanor Structure Fire

On December 20th just before 8am Ladder 1 was dispatched, along with several other companies, to assist Ruscombmanor(Co34) on a reported structure fire at 3 Tammy Louise Drive in the township. First arriving units reported a well involved house and a second alarm was struck for additional resources. The house was up a steep driveway and an extensive tanker shuttle was required to get water to the scene as this area has no fire hydrants. The Ladder 1 crew hiked up the hill and assisted other companies on opening the building up, extinguishing the fire and performing overhaul. Units were able to begin clearing the scene shortly before 10:30am. The cause of this fire is under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal.

Penn Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of the people of Mt Penn from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Rescue services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a 100% Volunteer work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
