On February 11 shortly after 7:30p.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company for a 2nd alarm structure fire with entrapment at 73 Dreamland Park Dr. in Ruscombmanor Twp. The first arriving units had a well involved residence with fire showing and quickly struck a second alarm. A long hose lay was needed to supply water from the tanker drop site on Pricetown Rd with the fill site being at Jim Moore Park. One resident escaped by going out the second floor window and suffered serious injuries. Multiple patients were transported to the hospital by EMS. Crews did gain access to search as they attacked the fire and were able to determine the house was clear. Most of the fire was knocked down with crews going into overhaul by 9:20p.m. Although Mt. Penn was released just before 10p.m. other units remained on scene or covering empty stations for several hours. The exact cause is under investigation by the PA State Police Fire Marshal.
