Mt. Penn Fire Company

Structure fire in Maidencreek

On June 1 just after 4a.m. Mt. Penn was dispatched as the RIT company to assist Blandon(Co12) and several others on a reported structure fire in the 200 block of E. Wesner Rd. First arriving units reported a working fire with fire through the roof of this single story house. Command stood down the RIT and used the additional personnel for fire attack. The fire was brought under control using several lines although overhaul was quite involved. The home was gutted but fortunately was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Mt. Penn units were able to clear and return shortly after 5:30a.m. The fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
